RSA Director, Corporate and Military Accounts in GSN Magazine's lead story
Paul DeMatteis, Director of Corporate and Military Accounts for RSA Protective Technologies was recently interviewed by GSN Magazine. The interview concerned his personal experience in developing force protection for Prudential Financial when it became clear that the company's facilities had been targeted for years by Al Qaeda as a likely choice for a vehicular bomb attack.
Here is an excerpt of the editor's note to this lead story interview:
"I met Paul DeMatteis a few weeks ago in our offices in Manhattan on a completely different matter. He was coming to talk with GSN about bollards and other perimeter security reinforcements designed and installed by his new employer, RSA Protective Technologies, of Upland, CA. In the course of describing his background, he mentioned that he had been Director of Global Security for Prudential Financial at the time of Ridge's warning last August. He had been intimately involved in the DHS and FBI warnings, had personally reviewed the 40-page surveillance report sent by an Al Qaeda operative to his superiors in Pakistan, and worked closely with federal, state and local authorities to beef up security at Prudential - and throughout Newark - in the days that followed."
